Mind the Kerb — Bridge of Allan map
Help
How do I record a kerb?
Zoom in, tap the map where the kerb is, pick the type, confirm. Your report goes to a moderator for checking.
What do the different kerb types mean?
Lowered: the kerb dips for crossing. Flush: level with the road. Raised: full height where you'd expect a crossing. No kerb: there's no kerb at all.
What if I'm not sure which type it is?
Pick the closest. Moderators compare reports from different people, so an honest guess still helps.
Why do you ask for crossing pairs?
A crossing usually has a dropped kerb on each side. Recording both sides in one go keeps the data complete.
Why no photos?
Privacy. Photos can capture people and homes, so the project deliberately collects none.
Do I need an account?
No — anonymous contributions count. An account adds points, streaks, and missions, and keeps your progress across devices.
What happens to my reports?
A moderator checks them. Verified reports are prepared for OpenStreetMap as open data (ODbL).
